In October 2022, Microsoft replaced its competency framework with a new streamlined approach. Partners are now classified by their proficiency across 6 core Solutions Areas that align with the Microsoft Cloud.
Organisations that can demonstrate key capabilities and criteria outlined by Microsoft will be awarded a Solutions Partner badge in that area.
The Solution Partner badges align more closely with modern client needs and communicates to customers the experience and proven ability of a Microsoft partner in key areas. The aim of this is to make it easier for your business to find and work with Microsoft Partners with skills and expertise for a range of cloud projects.

To achieve the Solutions Partner badges, a partner must earn a number of points across different criteria.
