From the 25th to the 27th April 2023, 848 attended and exhibited at the National Cyber Security Show held at Birmingham NEC.
This 3-day event helps companies to gain a better understanding of how to tackle cyber threats, increase cyber security, and educate organisations on how to better protect their business in a digital world.
848 were at the NCSS to network with industry leaders and to showcase our extensive experience and expertise in identity, infrastructure, and endpoint security.
Here is what some of our team had to say about cyber security at the National Cyber Security Show.
In the dynamic world of technology, cyber security is more crucial than ever
“848 has been at the forefront of post incident transformations for many years now and we pride ourselves on being that dependable partner that our clients and businesses can rely on to design, implement and deliver security strategies that consider your entire organisation. So, your people, processes, policies, and your data, and we deliver that as a solution that’s underpinned by Microsoft Technology.” – Kate Birks, Marketing Executive
Our approach to cyber security, is to keep it simple
“We need to listen to where the clients are at in their journey, could be that they’ve had a security incident and we need to look at how that’s happened. There are some things we can do around process or technology to resolve that.
Or it could be a client that’s got some particular regulatory requirements where they’ve got to be thorough with their security posture and support.
We’ve got to keep it simple, guide the client through that process.
And when appropriate, to talk about, some of the technology from the process of things that can help achieve that because, although there are similar requirements, no client is the same, it’s about listening and understanding, where they’re at and what they want to achieve.” – David Burn, Group Technical Director
Taking simple steps without spending any more money to secure your environment
“A lot of my customers are talking to us about security across the Microsoft Tenancy rather than focusing right at the top end and the obvious threats… and taking a step back to start with our 3-phased approach around people, process, and technology.”
“There’s lots of simple baby steps that you can take without spending any more money to secure your environment, enhance your security profile and just make sure that you’re a lot more compliant before you start making advances into really expensive services and solutions.” – Ian Cotton, Business Development Manager
