Our client is an up-and-coming figurehead in the gas and electricity industry. The business is looking to grow in the next few years, and as such wants to expand their sales team by providing them with the latest equipment.

What was the project?

PROBLEM

The client required 200 tablets to be deployed over a 2-month period. They had to be mobile enough to be taken door to door, and had to be Android operating to comply with our client’s own custom application.

They additionally had to be managed solely on the existing cloud solution. As the tablets are designed for sales, they were to hold vital customer information, and therefore needed to be incredibly secure.

 

 

 

 

Solution

 

We designed and built a cloud-hosted Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution to manage all 200 tablets. We used Microsoft Intune to achieve this, as it provided a comprehensive level of security across both personal and business-owned devices, regardless of Windows, iOS, or Android operation systems.

 

By undertaking the build composition of the tablets, we could customise the devices right down to selected apps, user restrictions, and user policies to be implemented on each device, making each tablet the perfect tool. After rolling the tablets out we supported the client fully in their Managed Services Provider (MSP) transition, and undertook white label service desk support on the behalf of the client.

 

RESULTS

 

 The department was left with a full fleet of custom-designed, secure, and reliable optimised devices.

The devices could be managed completely though the existing cloud provider. The client was left happy with a prepared sales team, ready to take on potential customers!
