My role within 848 is primarily as a support engineer working in the managed services team. I deal with customer queries coming into the service desk, these cover a multitude of devices and technologies, spanning on-premise systems to cloud solutions. As well as customer queries, I also deal with our internal IT network infrastructure and mobile connectivity services provided to our field teams. I’m also actively involved in several customer mobilisation projects, working from initial surveys through to design and build of customer environments. This element of the job allows me to ensure a successful transition into service, following project completion.

I’ve always had a keen interest in computers and technology. Joining 848 has allowed me to develop my skills further in the Microsoft core infrastructure and modern desktop. I have a passion for home networking, and have several home networking projects under my belt, ranging from; cabling through to wireless building links and CCTV installation.

Within 848 I look forward to developing my technical skills further and working toward my Microsoft certifications. I have a methodical approach to everything I do, and I believe in doing the job correctly from the start. The most important aspect of success is to communicate effectively to our customers, clients and internal teams on all the work that I do. Emphasising further, our overall commitment in delivering Business Changing IT.
