Our relationship with Ricoh continues to grow as we build on our roots in end user compute, to provide support in digital transformation planning. Due to our continued success as partner of the year two years running, we are offering specialist services through Ricoh, expanding the capacity of their in-house experts and the Ricoh Microsoft Business Unit’s excellent product range.

Working with the company’s Head of Infrastructure and Service, 848 provided a technical lead to assist in the planning in moving the client from Windows XP to the latest Windows 10 feature release. The organisation had 300 devices to move across by the end of October as part of a substantial end user computing transformation. The solution was wholly delivered through cloud device management. This significantly reduced the requirements for capital expenditure and moved to an operational expenditure model.

With Windows 10 as a service the client will always receive the latest most secure version of Windows, keeping the estate evergreen. In deploying the capabilities of Windows analytics, they will always have reassurance that their line of business application estate is ready for the next feature release.

With built in security features all managed from the cloud, the client has less reliance on third party disconnected product sets, reducing the management overhead. Leveraging the powers of the Microsoft cloud, users’ documents, emails and real time chat are available anywhere on any device, providing collaborative work spaces to improve productivity.
