2020: covid 19 panademic
Change to working practices at 848 group in light of the Covid 19 (Corona Virus) pandemic
Today I have announced a series of measures to assist with the management and containment of the spread of the Covid 19 pandemic.
848 group operates as a Managed Services and Specialist IT Consultancy around the UK and abroad as a result of this we are in contact with 3rd parties in a variety of areas.
In order to protect our staff, partners and clients from lunchtime today (16th March) the following changes will be carried out: –
Our core teams at head office (sales marketing, back office PMO and logistics management) will move to remote working with immediate effect
Our consulting teams, in partnership with our clients and partners will now work remotely wherever possible.
- Our managed services teams will be split into smaller groups to incorporate ‘social distancing’ including elements of home-working
- Essential meetings will be held at head office and the offices will be deep cleaned every two weeks until further notice
A skeleton configuration team will be running to provide urgent hardware requirements for our clients and partners
We are advising wherever possible to avoid the use of public transport and we have allocated a pool car for client visits, this will be cleaned as per office schedule
Because 848 group has worked remotely for years, this change will take 24 hours to implement
