REALISE THE VALUE!

Plan for Azure

Using our cloud-readiness assessment and analysis methodology, we can help determine the systems and processes suitable for cloud migration.

We cut through complexity and uncertainty to help mitigate risk, provide definite transition milestones and remove the potential for disruption to users and the business.

Build for Azure

Using the extensive experience and expertise we hold, we will transition on-premises systems to a secure cloud environment, with risk mitigation and business continuity at the fore.

Transitioning from on-premises systems to cloud-services reduces the burden of maintaining a costly IT estate and allows for agility and scalability, upon demand, without upfront investment.

Run Azure

We will help to deliver consistent access and availability of your systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance, managed by the expert services team.

Access to a dedicated service resource enables users to be more productive by helping resolve queries and issues quickly and successfully.

Microsoft Azure explained…

Azure is a cloud platform for building, deploying and managing applications and services from anywhere. Hosted on Microsoft’s constantly expanding worldwide network of data centers (54 Azure regions and counting!), Azure ensures consistency and reliability in use.

The public cloud computing platform includes Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions. These solutions can be used for services such as virtual computing, storage, networking, analytics – and much more!

Why are organisations trusting Microsoft Azure with their workloads?

There are many recognisable benefits to transitioning your organisations workload to Microsoft Azure Cloud

Flexibility

Geometrically scale new services and attributing data at scale. In comparison to a static data center requiring new OS’, provisioning and deployment, Azure’s capabilities allow you to manage the introduction of new solutions and services, across your entire organisation, whether national or international, with ease and efficiency.

q

Disaster Recovery

Azure’s high-speed and geographically decentralised infrastructure generates limitless possibilities for disaster recovery strategies. With legacy systems, typically disaster recovery can take days, with Azure the downtime lasts a few hours, or even minutes.

Application management

The incredible scalability of applications within Azure makes development and deployment, an easier and efficient task. Applications can be moved from ‘Test’ to ‘Production’ mode across a globally distributed network on the fly.

Security

Azure’s Built-in Security incorporates network level control of access, application security that enables a user to control the flow of traffic into and through a VNet towards multiple destinations, advanced threat intelligence to prevent, detect and respond to real-time threats, a secure infrastructure with perimeter fencing, video cameras and security personnel as well as a DDOS protection system to shield all your Publicly exposed applications. All at no extra cost and included in the initial offering.

Cost

By leveraging the infrastructure potentials on offer, finances spent on physical services and infrastructure devices e.g. load balancers and routers are eradicated. If the physical attributes are removed, then it is logical to assume that the overheads associated with those costs are also eradicated. Expect head-turning savings with Microsoft Azure.

Capabilities explored…

Explore the Azure cloud services and product types with associating features and capabilities:

Analytics

These services provide distributed analytics and storage as well as features for real-time analytics, big data analytics (PowerBI), data lakes (a system or repository of data stored in its raw format, typically files), business intelligence (BO), internet of things (IoT), data streams and data warehousing.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning

Azure contains a wide range of services for developers to instil AI, machine learning, and cognitive computing capabilities into data sets and applications.

Compute

This group of amenities enables users to deploy and manage virtual machines (VMs), batch processing and containers, as well as the capacity to support remote application access.

Databases

Azure includes Database as a Service (DBaaS) offerings for SQL, NoSQL, Azure Cosmos DB and Azure Database for PostgreSQL. Support for SQL Data Warehouse, caching, and hybrid database integration and migration features are also included.

DATA STORAGE

This collection of services provides scalable cloud storage for structured and unstructured data. Azure also supports big data projects, persistent storage (for containers) and archival storage.

Containers

(A container is a standard unit of software that packages code and code dependencies in order for the application to run quickly and dependably from one computing environment, to another). Azure contains a wealth of services where an enterprise can create, register, orchestrate and manage vast volumes of containers in the cloud. Here, common platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker are used.

Development

Azure’s capabilities can support application developers in sharing code, track potential issues, and test applications. Programming languages supported include; JavaScript, .NET, Node.js. and Python. This category also contains tools to support Visual Studio, blockchain and Software Development Kits (SDKs).

DevOps

Facilitate DevOps software development processes with project and collaboration tools, such as Visual Studio Team Services. The group of tools also offers features for application diagnostics, test labs for build tests/experimentation, and DevOps tool integrations.

Hybrid Integration

Azure contains services for site recovery, server backup and connecting public and private clouds.

Internet of Things

Use these Azure services to capture, monitor and analyse IoT data from sensors and devices. These services include; analytics, monitoring, notifications and support for coding and execution.).

Management

Azure has many services and tools that can assist a cloud administrator in managing an Azure deployment. Services include recovery, compliance, scheduling, monitoring, backup and automation tools.

Identity and Access Management (IAM)

These Azure offerings ensure only approved and authorised users can access Azure Cloud services, protecting encryption keys and other sensitive data assets. Services include support for Multifactor Authentication (MFA) and Azure Active Directory.

Media and Content Delivery Network (CDN)

Azure’s CDN capabilities include services for on-demand streaming, encoding, media playback and indexing, and digital rights protection.

Migration

Azure’s migration suite of tools assist organisations in eliminating workload migration costs and can perform the actual migration of workloads from local data centers to the Azure cloud.

Mobile

Azure’s capabilities and products can help a developer build mobile cloud applications, providing notification services, tools for building APIs, support for back-end tasks, and the ability to couple geospatial context with data (location context).

Security

Azure provides capabilities to identify and react to cloud security threats, manage encryption keys and other sensitive assets..

Web

Azure’s web services support the development and deployment of web-based applications. Features include; Search, content delivery, notification, reporting, management and application programming interface (API).

Networking

This group of services include virtual networks, traffic management and diagnostics, load balancing, domain name system (DNS) hosting, dedicated connections and gateways, and network protection against distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
